Thank you Carpinteria Beautiful Home and Garden Tour

“What an honor it was to be on the Carp Beautiful Tour and what a wonderful opportunity to get to know more of the Carpinteria community. This tour was something my grandfather, R.W.Bates would have loved. He was president of the board and a community beneficiary to Punta Gorda School in La Conchita.  Carpinteria Beautiful is an amazing organization with dedicated, organized, and caring volunteers.”  – Owner, Robbie Hutto

Thank you to the many volunteers and members of the community who planned and supported this wonderful tour. Thank you also to David Powdrell and Deana Rae for sending us his wonderful photos below.

Highlights of the 2014 Tour

The Home & Garden Tour is all about inspiration, creativity and celebrating the small community with a big heart. This year we are excited to offer five very unique homes and one expansive outdoor garden.

Rincon House: This 7-acre property with a lush tropical flare is just beckoning to be explored. Featuring a formal rose garden, an enchanting tiki hut and pool house while offering unlimited sweeping views of the ocean, islands and mountains.

Bates Ranch House: This historically restored 1928 Adobe Ranch overlooks the picturesque Rincon Point. The 5,000-square feet home is decorated with comfortable and rustic antiques, making it an original.

Shepard Mesa: This post-modern contemporary home embodies the true meaning of “Living with Art.” Beautifully updated kitchen, bathrooms and beneficial landscaping concepts.

Mission Terrace: Our annual “Little Gem” is full of charm and embraces the open concept living of the modern family. Unique backyard inspires the imagination.

3rd Street: This Spanish-Mediterranean home, located in the heart of Carpinteria, features a recently remodeled kitchen and eclectic art collections. The highlight of the backyard is a newly completed John Wullbrandt mural.

Nantucket Beach House: This house embodies the idea of vacationing in Carpinteria. Located just blocks from the beach, this home features a water wise front yard and lots of casual comfortable charm.
